Regional News and Information

Oklahoma residents who don’t agree with FEMA’s assistance decision can submit an appeal and have their case reconsidered. Individuals and Households Program (IHP) assistance provides financial assistance to eligible individuals and households who have uninsured or underinsured necessary expenses and serious needs. IHP assistance is not a substitute for insurance and cannot compensate for all losses caused by a disaster; it is intended to meet basic needs and supplement disaster recovery efforts.

Attempts to scam residents can be made over the phone, by mail or email, through the internet or in person. It is important to remain alert, as con artists are creative and resourceful. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it should be questioned.
