Mission   

To coordinate and provide the core federal disaster response capability needed to save lives, reduce suffering, and protect property in communities throughout the Nation that have been overwhelmed by the impact of a major disaster or emergency, regardless of cause

Operation Integration Branch    

Terry L. Brown - Operation Integration Branch Chief

The OIB Branch integrates the Federal Response to include Local, Tribal, State, Federal and Private Sector; liaison with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), Incidents Management Assistance Teams (IMAT) to rapidly deploy an experienced, cohesive team to an incident or incident-threatened venue to lead a prompt, effective and coordinated Federal response and State and other Federal Agencies (OFAs) to ensure seamless support to survivors. The type of LNOs/IMAT team deployed will be appropriate to the size, scope and complexity of the situation. In addition, coordinate/collaborate support through the Mission Assignment Program (MAP) for emergency response to disasters; provide direction to our Region Inter-agency Steering Committee (RISC).

The Logistic Branch provides Logistics support in the areas of property management, logistic systems and disaster operations for FEMA and its emergency management partners.

RRCC Watch Center   

James Gass - RRCC Branch Chief

The Region IV Watch Center  is a 24/7 steady-state function that maintains national situational awareness of potential or developing events that require a coordinated Regional or Federal response up to and including Incidents of National Significance. The Watch provides Region IV/FEMA leadership with information collection and analysis and resource coordination support on a daily basis.  The Region IV Watch consists of Watch Officers who report to the Senior Watch Officer and the Region IV/RRCC Director.  The Watch Unit ensures that critical operational information is reported to Region IV/FEMA leadership.

Operational Planning  

Lora Goza - Operational Planning Branch Chief

The Operation Planning Branch supports the full spectrum of disaster response and recovery operational and deliberate planning, ensuring continuity between long range planning, and field element incident action planning.

Disaster Emergency Communications  

Vincent Boyer - Disaster Emergency Communications Branch Chief

The DEC Branch provides tactical disaster emergency communications capabilities to support all hazards disaster response and national security emergency requirements.
