As part of disaster declarations, the President can make Federal funding (Public Assistance) available through FEMA to state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations. This is done on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair (or replacement) of facilities damaged by the disaster event.
As part of Congressional bill HR 152 – the Sandy Recovery Improvement Act of 2013, FEMA is providing the following information for our stakeholders:
- FEMA Region
- Disaster Declaration Number
- State
- Sub-applicant name
- County
- Damage Category Code
- Federal dollars obligated
- Date Obligated
Note: FEMA obligates funding for a project directly to the Grantee (State or Tribe). It is the Grantee's responsibility to ensure that the eligible sub-grantee (listed in the spreadsheet as Applicant Name) receives the award funding.
