The Office of Public Affairs coordinates the public affairs activities of all of the Federal Emergency Management's regions, directorates and branches.

The Office of Public Affairs is the primary point of contact for news media, organizations and the general public seeking information about FEMA's programs, policies, procedures, statistics, and services. The Office assists the Administrator on all public affairs, as well as strategic and internal communications matters.

Led by the Lars Anderson, Public Affairs Division Director, it comprises the News/Media, Public Web Operations, Social Media, Multimedia Content, Mobile Resources, testimonies, speeches, and internal communications.
