FEMA’s Methodology for Estimating Potential Losses from Disasters
HAZUS-MH is a powerful risk assessment methodology for analyzing potential losses from floods, hurricane winds and earthquakes. In HAZUS-MH, current scientific and engineering knowledge is coupled with the latest geographic information systems (GIS) technology to produce estimates of hazard-related damage before, or after a disaster occurs.

HAZUS-MH Hardware and Software Requirements
Please Note: HAZUS-MH MR4 will not run CDMS 2.0. However, HAZUS-MH MR4 will be compatible with CDMS 2.5. CDMS 2.5 is currently in development and is scheduled to be released later this year.
HAZUS-MH MR4 will not run on Windows Vista 64 bit. HAZUS-MH running on Windows Vista or Windows 7 is not yet supported.
