FEMA launched the Hazus Hot Zone, a newsletter that highlights new developments, activities and practices associated with Hazus-MH.

In This Issue:

The May 2011 Hot Zone newsletter provides information on the release of the 2.0 version of Hazus along with all of the information about the Annual Hazus Conference. Newly trained Hazus Trained Professionals and Practitioners have also been included in addition to other outreach updates.

The March 2011 Hot Zone newsletter features three of the newly trained Hazus Professionals and Hazus Practitioners along with an article on the latest Hazus training in Puerto Rico. Information on how to submit maps for the annual Map Gallery and Hazus User Group updates are also included.

Hazus Hot Zone -- January 2011 
The January 2011 issue of FEMA's HAZUS Hot Zone newsletter contains news about the interface between Hazus and the Annual Risk Analysis Division Meeting, expanding the Higher Education Resources Consortium, various Hazus User Group updates, and all of the news pieces of the Hazus program.

Hazus Hot Zone -- December 2010
The December 2010 issue of FEMA's Hazus Hot Zone contains news about the 2011 Hazus Training Courses at the Emergency Management Institute (EMI); Automating Hazus for CalEMA's New Release; and news of the Hazus User Groups.

Hazus Hot Zone -- July 2010 Special Conference Edition
The July 2010 issue of FEMA's HAZUS Hot Zone newsletter is a Special Conference Edition for the 4th annual HAZUS conference, August 23-25, 2010, in Indiana. Topics include methods for keeping up with conference news, registration information for workshops, a draft of the conference schedule, a new deadline for the HAZUS map gallery, and the 2010 HAZUS program awards.

HAZUS Hot Zone -- June 2010
The June 2010 issue of FEMA's HAZUS Hot Zone newsletter contains news about the 4th Annual HAZUS Conference, using HAZUS to education the public about flood risk, mastering the logistics of a large scale HAZUS project, some results of the HAZUS User Study, a Lunch-and-Learn with the Florida HAZUS User Group, and the HAZUS presence at the national ASFPM conference.

The April 2010 issue of FEMA's HAZUS Hot Zone newsletter contains information about Indiana and Illinois Inventory Update Strategies, the 4th Annual HAZUS Conference, Training opportunities as ESRI, Online, and the Emergency Management Institute. Also covered are HAZUS User Group updates for a Success Story, the User of the Year, and the HAZUS Technical Compendium Series.
