Tips To Minimize Delays to Your Application Process
In order to process your map amendment request in a timely manner, FEMA requires that certain information be submitted with the application. The following tips will help you provide FEMA with the information we need to expedite your request.

Response Time
- Notice of submittal completeness within 1 week
- Determination issued within 60 days of receipt of all required data
For Fastest Processing
- Notice of submittal completeness within 1 week
- Determination issued within 60 days of receipt of all required data
Have a Surveyor or Engineer
- Indicate the lowest adjacent grade (elevation of the ground next to the lowest part of your foundation
- Confirm that elevations submitted are referenced to same datum as the official floodmap
For Best Results
- Identify correct process/product
- Use data checklists provided with the forms
- Submit data all at once
