Brooklyn, N.Y., Nov. 28, 2012 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins to perform an Air Curtain Burning of over 77,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris, mostly tree branches downed by Hurricane Sandy at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, NY, November 28, 2012. FEMA is working with various partners including federal, state local and tribal governments, voluntary faith-based and community-based organizations, along with the private sector, to assist residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
