An automobile is stranded after part of Route 103 is washed away by flash flooding associated with Tropical Storm Irene.

Ludlow, Vt., August 29, 2011 -- An automobile is stranded in a ditch after part of Route 103 is washed away by flash flooding associated with Tropical Storm Irene. Many roads and bridges throughout the state of Vermont were heavily damaged by the storm. FEMA provides assistance to towns and communities to recover from disasters.
