As Tropical Storm Ida moves across the Gulf of Mexico and towards the Gulf Coast, it is important that individuals in potentially impacted communities continue to monitor local news and follow the guidance provided by their local officials. FEMA is in constant contact with our partners in the states as we continue to monitor the storm and we are prepared to provide support and coordination as necessary. This storm is a reminder of the importance of personal preparedness and, whether you live in the Gulf Coast or in another region of the country, I encourage you to visit Ready.gov and make sure your family has a disaster plan.
