September is National Preparedness Month, a month dedicated to encouraging the public to learn how they can better prepare themselves and their families before the next disaster. As part of this campaign, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is working closely with states across the country to ensure that all communities are taking the simple steps to prepare. Citizens can get involved now by visiting www.Ready.gov and the sites listed below. Remember, everyone can develop an emergency supply kit and family disaster plan to prepare for the next disaster.
