FEMA's Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Division will host the Annual Safety & Preparedness Expo. The Expo will take place today from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in front of FEMA headquarters, 500 C Street, SW, Washington, DC 20472.
The theme for this year's event is Building a Culture of Preparedness. Demonstrations and interactive exhibits will be featured.
FEMA is teaming up with Urban Search and Rescue, DC Emergency Management, and the Department of Health and Human Services to display and demonstrate response and recovery mission strategies. Expo activities include search and rescue demonstrations, a hazardous materials decontamination tent, mobile emergency response vehicles, as well as other first-responder tools
The public and members of the media are welcome to attend.
