As the state moves forward in rebuilding a safer, stronger and smarter Iowa, ensuring that residents are informed remains a critical piece. The Iowa Recovery Times is one of the many communications vehicles that the RIO and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are using to disseminate information.

"We wanted to get useful information out to Iowans in an informative, yet easy to read, way," said RIO spokesperson Tina Potthoff. "Iowa Recovery fits that need."

The newsletter, which is produced in cooperation with FEMA, can be viewed on line at www.rio.iowa.gov.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
