 Two temporary FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) will be open in Chicago Heights and Little Village from Tuesday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Oct. 14 to help renters, homeowners and business owners affected by June 29-July 2 severe storms and flooding.

A tropical storm warning is now in effect for Guam, meaning tropical storm force winds of 39 mph or more are expected within 24 hours, and that Typhoon force winds are possible. FEMA has 200 personnel currently deployed in Guam with an additional 175 en route.

HONOLULU – Government agencies, public institutions and certain private nonprofit organizations such as houses of worship have until Wednesday, Oct. 25, to submit their Requests for Public Assistance funding to the Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency for damage caused by the Aug. 8 wildfires.
