There is Still Time to Register With FEMA for Disaster Aid

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The Disaster Recovery Centers for Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee are now closed, but anyone who has not registered for disaster assistance can still apply. The last day to register for assistance is December 14.

To check the status of an application already filed or to get disaster recovery information, call the same toll free number used to register.

To register, individuals should call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Multilingual operators are available to help with the application and to answer questions seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. People can also apply on line at FEMA'S web site, www.DisasterAssistance.gov

TTY users may call 1-800-462-7585.  For those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362. If you have a disability and need help registering, contact FEMA to ask for help.
