Disaster Recovery Centers in Lancaster and Northumberland Counties Close Permanently on Friday, November 11

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Officials of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) announced the Lancaster and Northumberland County DRCs will close on Friday, November 11.        

The DRC Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They close permanently at 7 p.m. on Friday, Veteran’s Day. The DRCs are located at:   

Lancaster:
The M & T Bank Building
2270 Erin Court, Lancaster

Northumberland:
The Career Link Building
2 East Arch Street, Shamokin         

After the DRCs close, you can visit any DRC located near your home or business if you have questions relating to the recent storms, or want to check the status of an application you filed. You can find the nearest DRC by visiting www.fema.gov/drclocator. You may also call the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362. People with hearing disabilities may use the TTY number, 1-800-462-7585.

If you had disaster losses and have not yet applied for disaster assistance you can register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. Or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), TTY 1-800-462-7585.  If you use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362. If you have a disability and need help registering, don’t hesitate to contact FEMA to ask for help.

The deadline to register for assistance has been extended to December 14, 2011.
