Disaster Recovery Centers Close for Veterans Day Holiday

NEPTUNE, N.J. – The joint state/federal disaster recovery centers (DRC) that have been helping New Jersey residents affected by Hurricane Irene will close Friday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced.

The centers will reopen Monday, Nov. 14 and resume business hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.

Those who have registered for assistance and have questions may go to www.disasterassistance.gov, m.fema.gov or call FEMA toll-free at 800-621-3362 (FEMA). Telephone lines are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET; multilingual operators are available.

The deadline to register is Nov. 30.
