ALBANY, N.Y. – State and federal Disaster Recovery Centers throughout New York State will be open six days a week from now on, according to state and Federal Emergency Management Agency officials.

The DRCs will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closed Sundays. This change does not apply to “mobile” disaster recovery centers, which are typically open for three days at a time, often including Sundays.

FEMA's mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
