BISMARCK, N.D. – Homeowners in Beulah and surrounding areas can get information on how to make repairs to flooded homes and prepare for future disasters at a free Mitigation Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Beulah Civic Center, 120 7th St. NE, Beulah, ND.
Federal Emergency Management Agency mitigation specialists will provide information on how to protect homes from future flood damage, as well as tips on how to clean up mold and mildew. A representative from the National Flood Insurance Program will be on hand to explain the benefits of flood insurance.
Homeowners can visit a display featuring a sump pump, backflow valve and flood drain plug. Free publications on mitigations techniques, as well as mold and mildew cleanup, will be available.
