Lafayette County Recovery Center to Close Sept. 2

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the state of Missouri announced today the closing of the Disaster Recovery Center at 1106 Main St., Lexington, Mo., at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2011.

The recovery center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Survivors of the flooding in Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Holt, Lafayette and Platte counties may visit any center location for help with disaster assistance questions, registration or SBA disaster loan applications. A FEMA specialist will also be present to advise disaster survivors in mitigation techniques. ;The following are operating recovery centers in the disaster area:

Buchanan County

Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Closed Sundays and Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 5.

Holt County

Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Closed Sundays and Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 3 through Monday, Sept. 5.

Multilanguage assistance is available. Helpline hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
