FEMA Experts Will be at Knoxville Lowe's Through July 3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Mitigation experts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency who are at Lowe's in Knoxville will not work on July 4. Their last day will be Sunday, July 3, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Thursday, June 30, through Saturday, July 2, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, July 3, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

They are providing tips, techniques and literature that can help prevent harm to people and property from natural disasters.

Disaster recovery assistance is available without regard to race, color, religion, nationality, sex, age, disability, English proficiency or economic status. For TTY call 800-462-7585.FEMA's housing assistance and Other Needs Assistance grants for medical, dental, and funeral expenses do not require individuals to apply for an SBA loan. However, applicants who receive SBA loan applications must submit them to SBA loan officers to be considered for assistance that covers personal property, vehicle repair or replacement, and moving and storage expenses. Applicants who do not qualify for a SBA loan may be eligible to receive Other Needs Assistance grants for these items.
