CLINTON, Miss -- Builders, contractors, engineers, architects, and other interested professionals and students in the building-related fields are invited to learn about safe rooms at a seminar taking place from 1 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 30, in Clinton.
Architect Ted Granger, a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Specialist, will explain technical requirements of planning and constructing an effective safe room. Issues will include grant details, permitting, and the separate topic of community safe rooms and shelters. A Certificate of Participation will be mailed to all who attend, along with follow-up information.
