CLINTON, Miss. -- Keep your disaster recovery on track by calling the Federal Emergency Management Agency Helpline at 800-621-FEMA.

If you are registered with FEMA and have disaster-related questions, you can call the helpline for answers and to update your information. Those not registered with FEMA can use the helpline to register.

Here's what applicants can do by phone:

  • Register for disaster assistance.
  • Notify FEMA of a change in address or phone number.
  • Track the progress of your application.
  • Learn how to appeal a FEMA decision.
  • Get answers to questions about what to do next.

FEMA staffers are available every day and help is available in all languages.  The phone number is 800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 800-462-7585 for the speech- or hearing-impaired. These toll-free telephone numbers will operate 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, until further notice. Online registration and assistance is available at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or on the Smartphone mobile website m.fema.gov.
