Carol Stream Workshops To Be On Basement Flood Protection

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.Workshops where residents can learn ways they can protect lives and property against future flooding are being offered in Carol Stream.

Mitigation specialists from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are offering workshops in Illinois on small projects that can be undertaken by an individual homeowner or a family to reduce a home’s vulnerability to future flooding. The projects can be completed at a reasonable cost.

Homeowners, service clubs, civic organizations, church groups and others in areas which had significant basement flood damage are encouraged to attend a workshop.
