Workshops To Offer Tips On Reducing Flood Impacts

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.Workshops are being offered in several Chicago neighborhoods on flood avoidance and mitigation steps starting this weekend. Residents can learn cost-effective ways to protect their property against future flooding.

Mitigation specialists from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) have scheduled the following workshops:

Saturday, Oct. 16
Two workshops - 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 18 – 6:30 p.m.
