DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. -- The Chicago State University Disaster Recovery Center will transition to a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) when it opens at
8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18.
The Chicago State University Disaster Recovery Center has served more than 1,350 visitors. Hours for the recovery center through Saturday, Oct. 16, are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.
SBA representatives at the DLOC will provide homeowners, renters, business owners and nonprofit organizations with face-to-face service in answering questions about SBA's low-interest disaster loan programs, completing loan applications, checking the status of applications, and closing on SBA loans.
The SBA center will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until further notice.
Visiting a Disaster Recovery Center is not required to apply for FEMA assistance. Apply online anytime at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362 (TTY1-800-462-7585) from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily. Assistance in many languages is available. The Helpline at the same phone number will remain open for anyone with questions about their FEMA application.
