NEW BERLIN, Wis. – Residents of Grant and Milwaukee counties as well as employees working in those counties who suffered damage to their automobile during the July 20-24 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding may be eligible for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster assistance.
FEMA officials advise anyone whose primary personal vehicle was damaged during the flood event to register for assistance. Even if individuals are not residents of Grant or Milwaukee County, but the damage occurred while the vehicle was located in either county, they may be eligible for assistance.
Register with FEMA online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov and by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585. Phones are answered seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT until further notice.
