FEMA Teams Offer Home Repair Advice To Edinburg, Del Rio And Laredo Residents

LAREDO, Texas -- Teams of hazard mitigation specialists with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be available in three communities, Edinburg, Del Rio and Laredo, beginning Sept. 23.

In Edinburg, the teams will be located:
Lowe's Home Improvement

Edinburg, TX 78539
The hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 until Tuesday, Sept. 28

In Del Rio, the teams will be located:
McCoy's Building Supply
805 Spur 239
Del Rio, TX 78840
The hours will 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 and Friday, Sept. 24

In Laredo, the teams will be located:
McCoy's Building Supply
3809 E. Saunders St.
Laredo, TX 78041
The hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 until Saturday, Sept. 25

The aim of the teams is to provide information and answer questions residents may have about protecting their homes from future disaster damage as well as building or rebuilding their homes safer and stronger.

The FEMA representatives may talk with survivors about mold issues, mitigation and preparedness issues including tornado preparedness. They will also offer publications on similar topics.
