Hazard Mitigation Information Stations Expand Operations

WARWICK, R.I. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency is expanding the number of locations for its hazard mitigation information booths at area retail stores.

FEMA specialists are available to provide information about mitigation techniques such as cleaning up and reducing mold and mildew; protecting electrical systems, furnaces, and other appliances; reinforcing structures; safeguarding valuables; and securing other important personal property. Information on the National Flood Insurance Program is also available.
