Pago Pago, AS -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will provide one-on-one guidance for American Samoans interested in repairing and rebuilding their disaster-damaged homes or businesses. Mitigation specialists from FEMA’s Community Education Outreach program are providing free advice and answering questions, this week in Tafuna, Nu’uuli and Maleimi.
"Disaster recovery includes building smarter and stronger for better protection from future disasters," said Federal Coordinating Officer Kenneth Tingman. "Our outreach team has information on retrofitting techniques, anchoring fuel tanks, installing flexible connection pipes and more."
Beginning Monday, December 14, FEMA specialists’ outreach schedule is:
- CBT Ho Ching & Co. Inc., Tafuna warehouse location
Monday, December 14, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- CBT Ho Ching & Co. Inc., Nu’uuli location
Tuesday, December 15, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- ACE American Industries, Maleimi
Thursday and Friday, December 17 – 18, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 19, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
