LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announce the closing of the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Mena on May 29, 2009. The DRC has provided recovery information to 800 residents who were affected by the severe storms and tornadoes of April 9.
The center in Polk County is located at the following address and will continue with normal hours of operation until the closing at 6 p.m. on May 29.

Disaster-affected residents are reminded that help remains only a phone call away for those who need FEMA and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) information.
Residents can still register or get FEMA information by calling 1-800-621-3362 or TTY 1-800-462-7585. Lines are open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight. Applicants can also check on the status of their application or update information online at www.disasterassistance.gov or www.fema.gov.
SBA loan information and application forms may be obtained from SBA's Customer Service Center by calling toll-free (800) 659‑2955; emailing email@example.com; or visiting SBA's Web site at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance. Hearing-impaired individuals may call (800) 877‑8339.
Loan application also can be done online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure Web site at disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
