FEMA Funds More Than $52 Million to Kansas Electrical Cooperatives

TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Kansas Division of Emergency Management, a division of the Adjutant General?s Department, today announced more than $52 million in funding to help Kansas electrical cooperatives recover from the December 2007 severe winter storms. The funding is being provided to 20 cooperatives and 24 municipal utilities located across the state to restore damaged facilities.
