Disaster Wrap-Up: Federal Disaster Aid To Texans Tops $88 Million For Summer Severe Storms And Flooding

WACO, Texas -- Federal disaster aid distributed to Texans affected by June 16 - Aug. 3 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding has reached more than $88 million, the Governor's Division of Emergency Management (GDEM), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today.  As of November 12, FEMA and the SBA have approved more than $88,630,462 million in disaster aid.

  • More than 14,272 individuals and families registered with FEMA assistance for damages related to summer storms and flooding.  The deadline to register was Oct. 29.  Registrations and approved funds by designated counties are:
