Harris County DRC To Close Oct. 27

WACO, Texas -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) located at the Burke Square Professional Building, 3222 Burke Rd. Suite 104 in Pasadena, TX will close at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.

Assistance is still available to Texans affected by Tropical Storm Erin, even after the DRC closes. Individuals who have questions or need to register can still do so by calling FEMA's toll-free help line at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).

Individuals and businesses with losses caused by the Aug. 14-Aug. 20 severe storms and flooding have until Dec. 3 to register for federal disaster assistance. Financial assistance, including loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), is available for homeowners, renters, business owners and most private-non-profits in Bexar, Harris, Jones, Kendall, Medina and Taylor Counties.

Affected individuals can apply to FEMA by telephone or online at www.fema.gov. The toll-free phone number for applications is 800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those with speech or hearing impairments, seven days a week.
