Only 17 Counties Eligible For Public Assistance

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A recent news release incorrectly listed the number of counties eligible for Public Assistance (Infrastructure). There are only 17 counties eligible for this type of assistance for affected local governments, state and county agencies, and certain private non-profit organizations. The counties eligible for Public Assistance (Infrastructure) include Athens, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Tuscarawas, Vinton and Washington.

The 21 counties listed in the release are eligible for Individual Assistance for individuals, families, and business owners, who suffered damages between August 27 and September 27. The counties eligible for Individual Assistance include Athens, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mahoning, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Stark, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, Vinton and Washington.
