New Castle, DE -- Effective immediately, the toll-free Registration and Helpline number for FEMA, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), is changing hours. The new hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm. Eastern time, until further notice. Telephone lines will be closed on weekends. FEMA also initiates proactive mitigation activities, trains first responders, and manages Citizen Corps, the National Flood Insurance Program and the U.S. Fire Administration.
