Mobile Disaster Recovery Center In Liberty

Gulfport, MS -- A mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will visit Liberty tomorrow, Oct. 11, for one day only. It will be located at the Liberty Police and Fire Department and will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This unit is provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). Representatives from the various disaster aid programs and the Small Business Administration (SBA) that administer the disaster loan program will be on hand at the center. They will be able to provide assistance and answer questions about the recovery process.

Persons in Amite County who have questions about disaster aid are urged to come to the DRC while it is in Liberty. Anyone affected by the recent storms can apply for disaster assistance by calling the toll-free teleregistration number 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The number for persons with a speech or hearing impairment is 1-800-462-7585.
