Denver, CO --Local officials are providing a location for a Disaster Recovery team with representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The team will be located at:
Conifer High School
10441 County Highway 73
Hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The center will be open July 18-20.
"This is an opportunity for people to sit down and talk face-to-face with someone that can answer questions about their recovery needs," said State Coordinating Officer Tommy Grier.
Recovery teams will provide recovery information and written materials about various assistance programs available to homeowners, renters and businesses. This is also an opportunity for homeowners to receive information about wildfire mitigation, flood insurance and safety tips.
"We're trying to make the process easier for people by bringing recovery teams to the communities and areas where they live," said Federal Coordinating Officer Steve Emory.
Individuals are encouraged to register for assistance prior to visiting the center by calling FEMA's registration number 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Those with hearing- or speech- impairments may call toll-free TTY 1-800-462-7585. The registration lines are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week.
