Moorhead, MN -- Federal and state officials are reminding victims of the recent flooding that help for disaster-related stress is just a phone call away. Referrals for short-term intervention counseling services for the residents of the counties participating in the MN Flood Disaster Response program are available at no cost.
If you are experiencing emotional distress as a result of the recent flooding, and you live in one of the following counties, you can get free counseling by calling one of the following numbers. Victims in non-participating counties may call the Crisis Hotline listed in their local phone book.
Anyone who sustained damage from the flooding which occurred beginning June 9 should register with FEMA by calling the toll-free number: 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). TDD service is available at 1-800-462-7585.
