Boston, MA -- On Wednesday, May 29, 20O2 at 7:00 p.m., the Federal Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct a public meeting for participants in the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant Biennial Exercise that was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2002. The full-scale emergency preparedness exercise will be evaluated by FEMA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The participants' meeting will be held at the Plymouth Community Intermediate School, Little Theatre located on Long Pond Road in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
At the meeting representatives from FEMA, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Entergy Nuclear will present their initial findings on the conduct of the emergency exercise. Exercise participants from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts towns within the Pilgrim Emergency Planning Zone will also have the opportunity to make observations on the exercise.
The public and the news media are welcome to attend. While the meeting will be conducted for the exercise participants only, members of the general public who wish to comment on the off-site portion of the exercise may do so in writing. Comments should be addressed to:
