Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers To Visit Kentucky Communities

London, KY -- Two mobile Disaster Recovery Centers, staffed with state and federal officials, will be visiting some of the Kentucky communities affected by the storms and flooding of March 17-21 to provide information and registration assistance to residents who may need help in recovering from their damages.

The mobile units are provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management (KyEM). The Small Business Administration (SBA) will also have representatives in the centers. Below are the schedules of the two mobile disaster recovery centers:

April 16 - 18 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Hazard, Perry County, National Guard Armory.

April 19 - 21 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Cumberland, Harlan County. Cumberland Rescue Squad Bldg (next to Day & Jones Funeral Home).

April 22 - 25 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Pineville, Bell County

April 26 - 28 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Barbourville, Knox County

April 29 - 30 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Williamsburg, Whitley County

April 16 - 18 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Greenup, Greenup County Courthouse.

April 19 - 21 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Hitchins, Carter County , parking lot of the Hitchins fire station.

April 22 - 24 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Olive Hill, Carter County, City Hall.

April 25 - 27 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Salt Lick, Bath County, fire station.

April 28 - 30 (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)

  • Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County Health and Civic Center parking lot.

All residents who sustained damages are encouraged to register for help at 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362) or 1-800-462-7585 for speech and hearing impaired, prior to visiting the centers.
