Washington, DC -- The Disaster Recovery Center at the Harry Thomas Recreation Center, 1743 Lincoln Road NE, merges with the Frank D. Reeves Municipal Center DRC beginning 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10.
The DRCs were opened to provide face-to-face help to District individuals and business owners affected by the August 10-12 flooding and storms.
Individuals may continue going to the Frank D. Reeves Municipal Center for answers to their disaster recovery questions. The center continues operation at:
2000 14th St., NW, 2nd floor Community Room
14th and U Street
Metro stop: U St. & Cardozo, Green Line
Operating hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday until further notice.
Anyone who suffered losses as a result of the flooding still has time to apply for assistance over the FEMA teleregistration line, 1-800-462-9029 (TTY: 1-800-462-7585). Government assistance covers basic needs only and normally will not compensate individuals for their entire loss.
