Baton Rouge, LA -- For Orleans Parish residents who wish to have face-to-face meetings with Recovery Specialists to get answers to questions and check on the status of their applications, the time for visiting the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is short. The center is located at the Municipal Training Academy 401 City Park Avenue in New Orleans. It will offer full services to applicants through closing, 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Even though the Recovery Center is closing, help is still as close as a telephone call. To register call toll-free 1-800-462-9029. Those who are hearing- or speech-impaired can call (TTY) 1-800-462-7585 to apply or to check on their applications. The telephone numbers are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., CDT, seven days a week until further notice.
