Charleston, WV -- A town meeting designed to help disaster victims learn the "ins and outs" of disaster assistance will be held in Kanawha County, at the Dunbar National Guard Armory at 7 p.m., Monday, June 18.
The town meeting is designed to provide recovery information for residents affected by the severe storms, flooding and landslides that occurred between May 15 and June 11. Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the West Virginia Office of Emergency Services, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and others will be on hand to answer questions.
Disaster victims will have an opportunity to meet with federal and state disaster recovery representatives at the town meeting. They will be able to obtain information on temporary housing for homeowners and renters, the Individual and Family Grant Program, how to reduce future damage and the SBA's low interest rate loans.
The meeting is in the Drill Hall of the Armory, located at 605, 26th Street, Dunbar.
