Col. Kasprisin Named Regional Director for FEMA Region X

Seattle, WA -- Joe M. Allbaugh, director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today that Col. Ken Kasprisin has been named regional director for FEMA's Region X, headquartered in the Seattle, Wash., area. As Region X director, Kasprisin will oversee FEMA operations in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

" I look forward to working with Ken as a member of the FEMA team," said Allbaugh. "Region X has a dedicated and professional staff and Ken will bring the leadership needed to strengthen the staff and work with our emergency management partners."

Kasprisin commands the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers' St. Paul, Minn., District. He has served in the military for over 26 years in numerous infantry and engineer positions and has been an assistant professor of civil engineering at the United States Military Academy. Kasprisin will assume his duties at FEMA upon his retirement from the military.
