Seattle, WA -- The Seattle Federal Executive Board and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region 10 will host an Earthquake Preparedness and Recovery Road Show Wednesday, April 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Jackson Federal Building in downtown Seattle. According to FEMA Acting Regional Director Tammy Doherty, the SFEB event is one of a series of traveling workshops scheduled throughout Washington to provide hands on mitigation demonstrations in affected communities. "These 'Road Shows' are an earthquake mitigation outreach initiative coordinated by our Disaster Field Office in Olympia, and they've proven to be quite popular," said Doherty. "Topics include affordable techniques for rebuilding safer, stronger and more survivable homes and businesses, with special cut away demonstration models and knowledgeable staff to field questions."
