Little Rock, AR -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) will continue to provide any requested support and technical assistance to the City of Pine Bluff to complete the removal of ice storm debris and will do everything possible to ensure that the city is promptly reimbursed for all remaining eligible debris removal costs.

On Tuesday the City of Pine Bluff terminated its contract with David Mitchell Construction (DMC) for the removal of the ice storm debris.

As with the decision to contract with DMC, the decision to terminate the contract is solely within the discretion of the City of Pine Bluff.

Since the Presidential disaster declaration on Dec. 29, 2000, FEMA and ADEM have been working diligently with the City of Pine Bluff to reimburse the city for all eligible costs associated with the removal of ice storm debris from public property, roads and rights of way.
