Little Rock, AR -- Hours for both teleregistration, 800-462-9029, and Helpline, 800-525-0321, numbers have been changed to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Speech- and hearing-impaired individuals should call 800-462-7585 for both registration and helpline information.

Before calling the Helpline, individuals, families and businesses in the declared counties are urged to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to fund uninsured essential emergency repairs or cover the cost of alternate housing for homeowners or renters whose dwellings are unlivable due to the ice storms.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) makes low-interest disaster-recovery loans for businesses and individuals. SBA loans are the primary means of restoring or replacing uninsured or underinsured disaster-damaged real estate, personal property and business facilities.

The Helpline can provide many functions for the applicant such as:

  • Checking on the status of their application;
  • Referring inspection problems to a program specialist;
  • Updating information about the applicant such as a phone number; and
  • Referring people with special needs to organizations that are able to assist them.
