Public Meeting Outlines Earthquake Risk

Kitsap County Emergency Management and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) will cosponsor a special Public Meeting from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 30 November 2000 at the Port Orchard City Hall in Port Orchard, Washington. Discussion points will include:

  • The SEATTLE, Wash. fault, and other earthquake hazards facing Kitsap County.
  • LIDAR technology and how it works.
  • Waterman Point scarp.
  • Puget Sound Region landslide hazards.
  • Remote seismograph placement throughout Kitsap County.
