"To be considered for public assistance benefits, we must receive your application by the June 22nd deadline," said Public Assistance Officer Chuck May of the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
Public entities that have not already submitted their applications should call SEMA at 573-526-9251.
Eligible applicants include state and local governments, political subdivisions, special districts, and certain nonprofit organizations in the three declared counties.
Public Assistance is available to eligible applicants to repair or replace storm-damaged property such as roads, bridges, low-water crossings, culverts, and other public facilities. Public Assistance may also include debris removal and reimbursement for emergency protective measures.
